Buddy Check

Robin Wilhoit,
WBIR-TV10 anchor
"This program could save your life."
Here's how it works.

1. Find a Buddy
Choose a family member, friend or co-worker.

2. Mark Your Calendar
On the 10th of each month, place the provided stickers on your calendar. Click here to sign up to receive a monthly self breast exam email reminder.

3. Call Your Buddy
Remind each other to do your breast self-exam. If you find a lump, call your physician.

The Buddy Check™ program encourages all participants to recognize that breast self-examination (BSE) is just one part of a very important three-part program for the early detection of breast cancer. The three-part program-physician examination, routine screening mammography, and breast self-examination- is recommended by major national health organizations including the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
