Anita Gregg Memorial Luncheon
Friday, November 6, 2009
The Foundry
Anita Gregg was a loving mother and daughter, a good friend and an excellent nurse at St. Mary's, whose life was taken as a result of domestic violence in 1996. She brought smiles to the faces of her patients and laughter to the hearts of her co-workers. This event was created to honor the life of Anita and to educate the community on domestic violence. All funds raised will provide funding for community education and domestic violence prevention through the Anita Gregg Fund.

This year's event will include a conference titled "The Many Faces of Domestic Violence" with key note speaker Sarah Buel. Buel is a Clinical Professor at the University of Texas School of Law with 31 years of experience working with women, children and juveniles in the legal system who have suffered from domestic violence. In addition, Buel started the Domestic Violence Clinic at the Univeristy of Texas School of Law and also served as co-director of the clinic.(source: www.utexas.edu/law/faculty/profile.php?id=BUELSM)

The program will begin at 8:00 am on Friday, November 6th at the Foundry with many speakers throughout the morning and the luncheon to be held in the afternoon. To attend the morning conference and lunch, the cost will be $50 per person. To attend the lunch only, the cost will be $35 per person.
