What Is New Beginnings?
Our program will offer expectant women, postpartum women up to one year after delivery and women experiencing infertility care who have a substance use disorder a customized treatment plan, individual counseling, group therapy, and peer support services.
These services are offered during pregnancy and up to one year after birth. In collaboration with the Centering Pregnancy Program our patients will also receive the important prenatal care, pregnancy education, and peer to peer groups with other expectant mothers. This allows our team to provide a unique individualized plan of care and ensures our mothers assist each other in being an effective support system during and after pregnancy.
Our goal is to eliminate the stigma commonly associated with substance use disorder treatment by providing best possible care for woman during and after pregnancy in a comfortable setting.

Our team is staffed with knowledgeable and caring individual’s wo are committed to helping women that have substance use disorder and who are of childbearing age who are trying to become pregnant, are pregnant or who have recently delivered a baby.
Our staff consist of board-certified psychiatrist and addiction medicine board certification, psychiatric nurse practitioners, a social worker and peer recovery specialists. The peer recovery specialists are women who have lived experience with substance use disorder and are in recovery. This lived experience helps our women build a strong relationship with someone who understands and can help guide them through the recovery phases.
Referral Process
Referrals can be made from any location including Emergency Departments, Physician offices, Community Mental Health Centers, Centering Pregnancy Program, self-referrals and more.
