HPV - What Adolescents and Young Adults Need To Know

Mercy Health Partners is hosting an educational program to answer questions about the human papillomavirus (HPV) and to discuss actions teenagers and young adults can take to reduce their risk of getting cervical cancer and other diseases caused by HPV.
The program will be from 6 – 7 pm, Thursday, September 23, 2009, in the St. Mary’s Health and Fitness Center conference room. St. Mary’s Health and Fitness Center is located on the St. Mary’s North campus in Powell, just east of I-75 at the Emory Road exit.
Featured speakers by the program will be Kristy L. Newton, M.D., board certified in gynecology and adolescent gynecology, and Rebecca Brown, APRN, PNP-FNP, a certified nurse practitioner in pediatrics and primary care.
The two speakers will also answers questions on the safety and effectiveness of the HPV vaccine.
