Mercy Medical Clinic of Powell County Welcomes Bridget DePaul, APRN

Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital (MWMH) is pleased to welcome Bridget Shepherd DePaul to Mercy Medical Clinic of Powell County.  She joins the existing team of providers including Dr. Julie Kennon and Nurse Practitioner Sandra McCoy.  All will see patients at the primary care clinic on Irvine Road in Clay City.

Bridget is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her undergraduate education with degrees from Transylvania University and Eastern Kentucky University. She earned her medical degree from Indiana Wesleyan University where she focused on pediatric medicine. She completed several residencies including one at Mercy Medical Clinic of Powell County and Lexington Women’s Health. Her previous work experience includes UK Children’s Hospital.

Bridget is accepting new patients of all ages for health and wellness exams, diagnosis and treatment of various conditions, urgent care needs, health management, acute problems and chronic conditions. 

Bridget graduated from Powell County High School and is eager to return home to practice medicine. “I am happy to be joining the team at Mercy Medical Clinic of Powell County and Marcum and Wallace Hospital,” said Bridget.  “I wanted to return home and care for people in the community where I grew up.”

As a part of MWMH and Mercy Health, Bridget will have access to electronic medical records. This benefits patients by allowing by her to obtain information such as test results and health history; which enables care to be coordinated more efficiently and effectively. Patients of MWMH can sign up for MyChart, which allows them to view their test results, schedule appointments, check their medical record, and more…all from the convenience of a computer or smart phone.
