Mercy Health, part of Bon Secours Mercy Health, announced today that Ronda Lehman has been named president of the health system’s Lima Market, effective September 1, 2019. Lehman has served as president of the Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Medical Center since March 2019. 

Lehman will oversee operations, quality, service and growth goals for the Lima Market, which includes Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center and the various outpatient services. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to operational excellence will continue to advance growth in the Lima market.  

Bob Baxter will continue as a leader in the Mercy Health ministry as president of the Toledo market. 

“Ronda is a dynamic leader who will continue the enhance the patient experience and help meet the ever-changing needs of the Lima community,” said Donald Kline, president, Great Lakes Group, Bon Secours Mercy Health. “She has a unique ability to identify and build upon local opportunities that support our commitment to expand our healing ministry in Lima as well as its surrounding communities.”

Lehman has served the Lima community as a member of Mercy Health since 1995, when she began as a pharmacy intern. Since then, she has excelled in several leadership roles, including most recently as president of Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center. Lehman received her B.S. from Ohio Northern University (ONU), her Pharm.D. from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Tiffin University. She also completed the Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2014, Ronda obtained her fellow status with the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is also an adjunct faculty member at ONU.  

A native of Lima, Ronda and her husband have three young children. 

Mercy Health would like to sincerely thank Bob Baxter, who has served as president of the Lima Market since 2010 and added significant responsibility as president of the Toledo Market in 2017. Over the last two years, Bob has developed and strengthened key community relationships, establishing Mercy Health as a health care leader and innovator in Lima and Toledo. This work has led to our expansion of services and impact in both markets, which is invaluable for our ministry, patients and communities. We are very pleased that Bob will continue to serve the ministry as president of the Toledo Market, which is made up of eight hospitals, Mercy College of Ohio and the Lifeflight Network.
