Mercy Health's two-year Minority Administrative Fellowship Program is designed for recent graduates with a master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, health services administration, or a related degree from an accredited program.

Fellows gain on-the-job experience and mentoring, as well as in-depth exposure to a broad range of management issues, as they interact with senior-level executives. In addition, Fellows learn firsthand about crucial aspects of leading a nonprofit, faith-based healthcare system, including caring for our local communities, responding to their ever-changing needs and remaining accountable to those we serve.

The Mercy Health Minority Administrative Fellowship Program is a founding member of the
National Council on Administrative Fellowships (NCAF) and abides by the Code of Good Practice.

The Fellowship offers a highly personalized experience to help each fellow grow, with:

  • Individualized placements that align with each fellow's interests, skills and expertise;
  • Senior preceptors who are seasoned executives and leaders in their fields;
  • Access to extensive market and system opportunities that span two states;
  • Opportunity for involvement in acute care, ambulatory care;
  • Collaboration with senior clinical and organizational leaders to explore new strategies, learn new skills, delve into best practices and share expertise;
  • Participation in individualized ongoing performance improvement and leadership development coaching;
  • The possibility of long-term post-fellowship employment within Mercy Health. 

Benefits & Compensation

Mercy Health offers each fellow a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, life and disability insurance. Additionally, fellows get paid time off and support for appropriate professional travel and authorized conferences. Fellows selected for the program are eligible for reimbursement of their relocation expenses.
