Mercy Health Physicians - Cincinnati and Springfield Appoints Gregory Felder as Chief Operating Officer of the Group and Courtney Seitz as Executive Director of Primary Care

(CINCINNATI; April 8, 2015) – Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that it has appointed Greg Felder as Chief Operating Officer and Courtney Seitz, RN, MSN as Executive Director of Primary Care of Mercy Health Physicians – Cincinnati and Springfield.

Felder serves currently as director of operations for Mercy Health Physicians in the Springfield market. In assuming the COO position for Cincinnati and Springfield, he will continue to support the Springfield market and continue to grow the strong foundation he has helped create. Felder is responsible for directing the efficient operations of the partner physician group. He will begin as COO in May and will continue his role as interim Director of Operations in Springfield until a successor is identified. Felder assumes the COO role from Joni McElroy, who is retiring but will continue to work with Mercy Health Physicians as a consultant.

Seitz served previously as the Director of Operations in Cincinnati and Springfield. As the executive director of primary care, Seitz will be overseeing operations leadership for Primary Care.  Her responsibilities include developing and supporting a patient-centered, physician-led, team-based group practice focused on improving the overall health of Mercy Health’s patients and communities and strategic development of primary care delivery, solutions and operations. Seitz assumes her role as Executive Director of Primary Care on April 13.

Before serving in the Springfield market, Felder held executive leadership roles with Premier Physician Services in Dayton, Ohio and Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio. Felder holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ohio University and will soon complete his Master’s degree.

Before joining Mercy Health Physicians – Cincinnati and Springfield, Seitz was an onboarding and electronic medical records coordinator for Mercy Health’s IT group. She also served as the assistant manager of the cardiovascular pulmonary step-down unit at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health and as the unit’s clinical nurse educator. Seitz is a Registered Nurse and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from Xavier University.
