Mercy Health - The Heart Institute to Host Cardiac Arrhythmia Symposium for CME Credit on Saturday, May 2

(CINCINNATI; April 23, 2015) – Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood, announces that Mercy Health – The Heart Institute will host a Cardiac Arrhythmia Symposium on Saturday, May 2 in the auditorium at Mercy Health – West Hospital Auditorium, located at 3300 Mercy Health Boulevard, Ohio 45211.

The event qualifies for CME credit. It is open to the public and aimed at physicians, advanced practitioners and clinical staff. The day begins with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Information sessions follow from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mercy Health will provide lunch.

Jefferson Burroughs, MD, FACC; Richard Henthorn, MD, FACC; James Muth, MD, PhD; Reza Mehzad, MD, MPH; Shervin A. Sadrpour, MD and Rajinder Singh, MD are electrophysiologists with The Heart Institute. They will cover the following topics during the CME session:
• Syncope
• Approach to evaluation of palpitations
• Atrial fibrillation, when to consider ablation
• Atrial fibrillation, when anticoagulation is not an option
• Can my patient with an implanted cardiac device have an MRI?
• Indications for common cardiac devices
