Mercy Health - Cincinnati Opens New Anticoagulation Clinics in Norwood and Kenwood

Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that it has opened new anticoagulation clinics in Norwood and Kenwood for the convenience of patients in those neighborhoods and surrounding areas, including Blue Ash, Deer Park, Montgomery, Hyde Park, Oakley, Mariemont and Mt. Lookout.

The clinics are located in the Mercy Health – Rookwood Medical Center in Norwood and The Jewish Hospital Medical Office Building in Kenwood. The new anticoagulation clinics will help patients monitor and manage medications to prevent blood clots.

Staffed by a team of certified pharmacists with specialized training in anticoagulation treatment, the new centers provide:
• Point-of-care blood tests for Coumadin® (warfarin) monitoring and management
• Coumadin® (warfarin) dosing management
• Education and management on the newer Novel Oral Anticoagulants (NOAC) Pradaxa, Eliquis and Xarelto
• A review of all your medications
• Coumadin® (warfarin) refill prescriptions
• Education about possible drug and food interactions
• Regular blood pressure checks
• Direct communication to your physician

The Rookwood Anticoagulation Clinic is located in the Mercy Health — Rookwood Medical Center at 4101 Edwards Road, Room 142, Norwood, Ohio, 45209. The clinic is open from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. For more information, please call 513-979-2835.
