The Heart Institute at Mercy Health - Fairfield Hospital Offers Variety of Support Groups Free of Charge

(CINCINNATI; March 11, 2015) – Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood, announces that Mercy Health – The Heart Institute offers a wide range of free support groups for patients looking to understand and manage their conditions.

At Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital, located at 3000 Mack Road in Fairfield, ZIP 45014, the following support groups are free and open to the public:

• The Mercy Health Stroke Support Group provides emotional and educational support and promotes wellness for stroke survivors and their care givers. Unless notified differently, the group meets from 1-2 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every other month - March, May, July, September and November. • The Aphasia Support Group helps people with aphasia and their loved ones cope with the speaking difficulties and life changes associated with this disorder. The group meets the first Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Wellness Classroom at the Mercy Health – Fairfield HealthPlex, located at 3050 Mack Road on the hospital campus. • The Pulmonary Hypertension Support Group provides education and a supportive atmosphere for patients with pulmonary hypertension. Meetings dates vary. Contact Debbie Oelrich at for more information.

• H.E.A.R.T (Heart Education and Recreation Team) provides education and a supportive atmosphere for patients with cardiac conditions and their family and friends. The group meets the last Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. in the outpatient clinic at Fairfield Hospital’s ambulatory surgery center, located next to the hospital.
