Mercy Health - Fairfield Hospital Launches $14 Million Renovation Project to Enhance Patient Care and Access to Services

(CINCINNATI; June 6, 2016) – Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that Fairfield Hospital is undergoing a $14 million renovation to enhance patient care in surgery and inpatient and outpatient endoscopy.

“Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital’s excellent reputation for top quality care continues to attract patients from Butler County and surrounding areas,” said Mercy Health North Market President and CEO Thomas Urban. “During this renovation, we will upgrade our surgery suites to include the latest technology to enhance patient care. We will also expand our patients’ ability to utilize our spine intervention capabilities and improve access to our ambulatory surgery center to provide a better patient and visitor experience that accommodates our growing patient volume.”

Key improvements include:
• Expanding inpatient and outpatient operating rooms to better accommodate new technology
• Enlarging spine intervention (pain) center to improve patient access to this growing service
• Redesigning the driveway and entrance to the ambulatory surgery center to improve patients’ ease of access to the building
• Co-locating inpatient and outpatient endoscopy for efficiency and an improved patient experience
