The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health Offers Twice Monthly Walk with a Doc Sessions at Kenwood Towne Center in June

(CINCINNATI; June 1, 2016) – Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that The Jewish Hospital continues its free Walk with a Doc program at Kenwood Towne Center with two sessions in June.

The popular walks take place every other Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at the mall, which is located at 7875 Montgomery Road. Walkers will meet at The Jewish Hospital’s Walk with a Doc booth located in front of Anthropologie near Nordstrom’s inside entrance. New walkers get a free t-shirt and a pedometer to log their steps.

Mercy Health Physician Barry Brook, MD, who practices from Kenwood Internal Medicine at 4750 East Galbraith Road and is the director of The Jewish Hospital’s internal medicine residency program, leads the Thursday, June 9 walk from 9-10 a.m. He can answer walkers’ questions about regular health screenings and how to maintain wellness.

Mercy Health Physician and Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine specialist Samer Hasan, MD, who practices from Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center locations in Montgomery (10663 Montgomery Road) and Crestview Hills (328 Thomas More Parkway), leads the Thursday, June 23 walk from 9-10 a.m. He will provide information on shoulder ailments and shoulder replacement.

Led by a variety of physicians and other health professionals representing a wide array of health, wellness and fitness-related expertise, the walks start with a brief and informative talk on the doctor’s or other health professional’s area of specialty before walking.

The program is free and does not require pre-registration. The walk schedule follows below:
• 9-10 a.m. Thursday, June 9 and 23
• 9-10 a.m. Thursday, July 14 and 28
• 9-10 a.m. Thursday, August 11 and 25
• 9-10 a.m. Thursday, September 8 and 22
• 9-10 a.m. Thursday, October 13 and 27
