Matthew Caldwell, President and CEO
Matt holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas. Matt started his healthcare career in nursing and has experience in critical care, recovery room, orthopedic post-operative care and as a case manager.
| Marianne Potina, Vice President, Mission Integration
Marianne Potina joined CMHP in October 2011 from Mercy Health Partners – Kentucky Region in Paducah, where she served as Vice President, Mission Integration. Marianne has been with CHP since 1993. From 1993 – 2006 She served in the Humility of Mary Region in North East Ohio in human resources and named Director of Human Resources in 2002.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hiram College, Hiram Ohio, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and a Masters of Arts in Health Care Mission from Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, Missouri.
| William J. Kusnierz, Chief Financial Officer
Bill came to CMHP in March 2013 after serving the previous four years as Vice President-System Controller for Catholic Health Partners. He also assumed the added role of Interim Chief Financial Officer for the Kentucky Region for the majority of 2012. He came to CHP in 2007 as Vice President—Assistant System Controller.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Purdue University with Cum Laude honors and earned his Masters of Business Administration from George Mason University.
| Lee Syphus, Vice President, Springfield Regional Medical Group, Chief Operating Officer
Lee joined CMHP in September 2015 as the Springfield Regional Medical Group Chief Operating Officer after serving for nearly 4 years as the Vice President of operations of Mercy Medical Associates in the Mercy Health Kentucky market. In his current role, Lee oversees all Springfield Regional Medical Group practice operational, strategic, and financial aspects within the Springfield market. He also serves as the Vice President of strategic planning for Mercy Health Physicians.
Lee earned his Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston - Clear Lake, Houston, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.
| Alex Rintoul, Vice President, Operations
Alex who brings 28 years of healthcare leadership experience, served nine years as Chief Executive Officer of Medical Center at Elizabeth Place, a physician-owned hospital joint venture with a nonprofit health system in Dayton.
Alex spent eight years with University Hospitals, including five years as Vice President, Ambulatory Services Division. University Hospitals is a large, regional academic integrated health system in Cleveland with five hospitals and 10 ambulatory sites. He has also worked in administrative positions with HealthSouth, Western Reserve Medical Center and Twin Lakes Anesthesia Group.
At CMHP, Alex is responsible for ancillary services, including laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, environmental services, nutritional services and physical therapy.
