Mercy Health provides two types of rehabilitation care and physical therapy services: inpatient and outpatient. Inpatient rehabilitation is hospital-based, 24-hour individualized care designed to improve independent function. Outpatient services occur after you return home from the hospital or after suffering an injury. Outpatient services are offered in a variety of locations, including hospital departments and specialists’ offices.
