Keeping Active presented by St. Rita’s Health Partners

(Lima, Ohio, January 12, 2017) – St. Rita’s Health Partners will sponsor Bluffton Family Recreation’s (BFR) “Keeping Active 2017” program this winter. Keeping Active will begin Jan. 16 and activities will last through Feb. 24. The annual wellness program is free for individuals and families in the Bluffton area and offers physical activity, fitness, nutrition and general wellness events. The program is intended to keep community members active and well during the cold winter months when it is challenging to get
out and exercise.

In conjunction with Bluffton University and other area businesses, BFR is coordinating all activities, which include free use of the indoor track; free attendance to group fitness classes including water exercise, Zumba© and Yoga Fit©; free access to recreational activities such as basketball and soccer; and learning sessions on exercise and nutrition. Programs will be held at Bluffton Family Recreation unless otherwise noted on the program calendar.

According to Beth Keehn, director of marketing and communications at St. Rita’s Health Partners, “We are excited about this opportunity to partner with Bluffton Family Recreation and provide fitness and wellness opportunities to the community free of charge. It is our mission to improve the wellbeing of the communities we serve, and we believe the Keeping Active program will help encourage healthy lifestyles for many local families this winter.”

Bluffton Family Recreation (BFR) operates as a community-centered, nonprofit organization focused on providing a wealth of fitness, wellness and educational opportunities to the communities it serves.
