Mercy Health - St. Rita's Neuroscience Institute to host Neuroscience Symposium

Mercy Health–St. Rita’s Neuroscience Institute will host its Neuroscience Symposium on Wednesday, June 28 at 7 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at St. Rita’s Auxiliary Conference Center located at 718 West Market Street Lima, Ohio 45801.

Physicians from the Neuroscience Institute will speak during the symposium, including a welcome from Dr. Matt Owens, medical director, and presentations from our Neuroscience Institute team including Dr. Selvon St. Clair, orthopaedic/spine, Dr. Vibhav Bansal, neurology, Dr. Mario Ammirati, neurosurgery, Dr. Asem Salma, neurosurgery, and Dr. Michael Rivera-Weiss, pain management.

Dr. John D. Corrigan, professor at the Ohio State University in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the director of the Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, will be the guest speaker at the symposium presenting on long term consequences of traumatic brain injuries.

During the half-day symposium attendees will have the chance to hear about the newest technologies and practices. Other topics include updates in spine procedures, rehabilitation neuro team case presentation, brain injuries, imagery guidance in neurosurgery and advancements in pain management and interventional neurology.
