Excel Pediatric Rehab
Excel Pediatric Rehab offers premier outpatient physical, occupational and speech-language therapy to children with disabilities, developmental delays and acquired injuries.
Our goal-oriented approach maximizes each child's ability to function as independently as pos-sible within the community.
Physical Therapy:Physical therapy focuses on a child's basic movement, balance and coordination skills. Our therapists design individualized programs to develop and improve a child's motion, strength, balance, mobility and movement skills. Treatment may include thera-peutic exercises and activities, functional training, physical agents and/or assistive technology to maximize a child's functional independence, decrease pain and prevent secondary impair-ments.
Occupational Therapy:Occupational therapy helps a child develop the fine motor skills needed for activities in daily life such as playing with toys, writing and cutting with scissors. Our licensed therapists also teach alternative techniques and use of adaptive equip-ment to accomplish everyday tasks such as eating with utensils and dressing oneself.
Children with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder are often referred to our occupational therapy department for help adapting to sensory and environmental distractions. Our facility houses a Sensory Integration Room with a ball pit, tunnels, swinging hammock and more.
Speech/Language Pathology:Our therapists treat children with speech-language delays, articulation and hearing loss, as well as, fluency disorders, voice disorders and feeding and/or swallowing difficulties.
