Man Up Mahoning Valley
If you are battling prostate cancer you are not alone in your fight. Man Up Mahoning Valley offers a support group facilitated by prostate cancer survivor, Steve Burbrink. This unique support group discusses ways to cope with a prostate cancer diagnosis and recovery from surgery or radiation therapy. A support group dedicated to supporting all women impacted by cancer by inspiring, empowering and providing hope to all our patients, survivors and co-survivors throughout their journey. Programs include: health education and promotion workshops; meditation and relaxation activities; food preparations and sampling; exercise and weight management classes; survivor stories of hope and much more. Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center. To register call 330-480-2763.
Look Good Feel Better
For women experiencing appearance-related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatment from any form of cancer. The program provides information and hands-on instruction on makeup and skincare and suggestions for using wigs, turbans and scarves. The program is held at St Joseph’s Cancer Care Center and St. Elizabeth’s Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
