Program Overview

Welcome to the Pharmacy Residency Program at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our preceptors are committed to providing an exceptional training experience for our residents. Upon graduation, residents are self-directed learners possessing clinical expertise and leadership skills, able to practice in diverse practice environments. Accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) since 2004, the PGY1 program offers two resident positions yearly.

PGY 1 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY 2) pharmacy residency training.
