Mercy Health – Anderson Hospital Presents “Innovations in Hernia Treatment” Seminar November 29

Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that Anderson Hospital is hosting “Innovations in Hernia Treatment,” a free seminar from 5:30-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29.

The seminar will take place in room one of the Mercy Health – Anderson HealthPlex, located at across the street from the hospital at 7495 State Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255.

A hernia is a condition in which an organ pushes through the muscle or tissues that are meant to hold it in place. Muscle strain or weakness can lead to a hernia and hernias occur most commonly in the abdomen or the groin. Symptoms include swelling and pain in the affected area.

If you or someone you care about has a hernia, there’s a way to stop the pain and physical symptoms permanently with minimally-invasive hernia repair.

Join Mercy Health surgeons David Ward, MD and Jeffrey Welshhans, MD for an informative presentation about hernias, their causes, symptoms and a variety of treatment options for this very common condition, including repair via minimally-invasive robotic surgery.

Drs. Ward and Welshhans are part of robotic surgery team that is helping hernia patients in our community recovery fully and quickly with smaller incisions and less pain.

Presentation will be followed by Q&A with the physicians. Light refreshments will be available.

To register for this free event, please call 513-624-4557 or visit www.mercy.com, click on events and search for “Innovations in Hernia Treatment.”
