The Lap Pool is closed Monday-Friday, 4-6 pm for Sea Wolves swim team practice. The Warm Water Therapy Pool is closed Tuesday and Thursday, 2-3:30 pm for Physical Therapy. Pool availability varies during all other club hours and is on a first come, first served basis.
Swim LessonsSwimming is a skill that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Mercy HealthPlex offers the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program with a focus on how to be safe in and around the water. Our instructors are experienced Certified Water Safety Instructors (WSI) and many are former competitive swimmers/coaches. Lessons are available for all skill levels and ages six months through adults.
Group lessons are available in six-week sessions throughout the year. Class size is limited to maintain a low instructor-to-student ratio. Private (one-on-one) and semi-private (two/three-on-one) lessons are also available and can be scheduled at your convenience. Sea Wolves Swim Team
The Mercy HealthPlex Sea Wolves are a year-round, competitive USA Swim Team dedicated to providing the best environment for our athletes to grow as individuals in and out of the pool. We focus on technique and training that move our athletes to the top of the sport while instilling life skills that enable them to be better people when they leave our program.
The Sea Wolves are currently ranked fifth in the state of Ohio and ranked in the top 200 in USA Swimming's national club rankings. We boast nine top ten team finishes at Ohio Junior Olympics, five individual state champions and two USA Olympic trial qualifiers along with numerous state record holders and USA/NCSA Junior Nationals qualifers. Masters Sea Wolves for Adult SwimmersTriathletes, weekend warriors and lap swimmers can fine-tune their skills in this program that provides structured swim workouts with Sea Wolves Head Coach Aaron Dorfman. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 am. Participants must be able to swim one length of the Lap Pool unassisted and be comfortable with circle swimming/lane sharing. Summer Competitive Swim Clinics
Join the Sea Wolves Coaches for special clinics this June, July and August that focus on improving swimmers' stroke technique and competitive speed. Tracks available for 10 and under and 11-14 year olds. Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted to participate.
Strength Training for Swimmers
This three part progressive lifting regimen incorporates all the major muscle groups for swimming to focus on injury prevention, muscular endurance and fast-paced power outputs. The program is led by Personal Trainer Jonathan Kleinhenz who is a former competitive swimmer and coach.
