Mercy Health — Diabetes Education Services, St. Joseph Warren Hospital

Diabetes Education is an American Diabetes Association Recognized Program that provides diabetes self-management education and support. Education is provided by registered nurses and dietitians who specialize in diabetes care to help persons with diabetes effectively manage blood sugars and prevent complications. Participants in the program learn about lifestyle changes along with problem solving techniques that are essential for controlling blood sugars. Education is offered in group and 1:1 settings. Group classes are offered in the morning, afternoon and evenings throughout the month. Services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial plans.
