- Balance assistance
- Assistance in procurement of needed equipment
Occupational therapy: Registered occupational therapists help you learn to perform activities of daily living safely, including:
- Light meal preparation
- Energy conservation
Speech therapy: Speech therapists evaluate speech, language and swallowing. They provide instruction on how to perform therapy exercises, and they advise the family and home health care staff on effective communication skills.
Medical social work: Medical social workers serve as a link to community resources and provide short-term assistance in coping with lifestyle changes due to illness, as well as long-term planning for the future.
Home health aide care: Home health aides provide personal care including nutrition, medication set-up and light housekeeping tasks. They are supervised by registered nurses.
