2016 Passport to Wellness series in Urbana announced

The 2016 Passport to Wellness series will kick off with Go Red for Women on Sat., Feb. 27, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Champaign Family YMCA in Urbana. The featured speaker is Nurse Practitioner Sue Berger from the Chronic Care Clinic at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She will provide heart healthy information.

Mercy Memorial Hospital, Champaign Family YMCA and the Champaign Health District partner to present Passport to Wellness, a free series of health seminars and family events for mind, body and spirit. With your passport in hand, you’re free to travel to any event you like and soak up the experience. Good health is closer than you might think.

Participants can obtain their free “passport” at any of the six events planned for 2016.

The events are open to the community. Individuals can attend every event. They can get their “passport” stamped at each stop, take home souvenirs in the form of new healthy habits and enter to win valuable prizes such as Fit Bits, camping equipment, Beats headphones, bikes, an iPod, and a Kindle Fire.
