What insurance do you accept?

We accept most major insurance plans. To make sure we accept your coverage, check with your insurance provider.

Does Mercy Health Urgent Care services cost more than a visit to my doctor?

Depending on your insurance coverage, Urgent Care services may be the same as a doctors’ visit or slightly more. Check your insurance plan benefit booklet or with your provider for details. Co-pay and visit costs vary by insurance provider and by your specific plan.

What is the charge for your services if I don’t have insurance?

We offer a self-pay (direct pay) for those without insurance. A basic exam, including lab tests conducted at our urgent care (strep test, flu test, RSV test and urinalysis, for example), is $195.00.

For visits requiring additional care and procedures such as a minor fracture or a cut that requires stitches, the fee is $295.00

Do you offer X-ray at Mercy Health Urgent Care?

Yes, our clinics are equipped with modern, digital X-ray.

If your injury or condition requires more advanced imaging, such as CT Scan or Ultrasound, we connect you to nearby services.

Do you offer lab tests?

We offer lab tests at our urgent care clinics, including tests for:

  • COVID-19
  • Flu
  • Pregnancy
  • RSV
  • Strep Throat
  • UTIs

We also are connected to other lab services and frequently send specimens to nearby laboratories for further evaluation.

Are there any days you are closed?

We are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

You can count on Mercy Health Urgent Care to treat your minor illnesses and injuries from 8 am to 8 pm, 362 days a year.

What age range of patients do you see at Mercy Health Urgent Care?

We treat adults and children of all ages.

When should I choose Mercy Health Urgent Care vs. emergency care?

If you think you or someone else could suffer significant harm or die without prompt attention, seek emergency care — or call 911 immediately.

Emergency care is the right choice for treating conditions such as:

  • Chest pain
  • Compound fractures (fractures that have broken through the skin)
  • Coughing or vomiting blood
  • Deep cuts or bleeding that won't stop
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Numbness in the face, arm, or leg
  • Seizures
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Severe burns
  • Sudden blurred vision
  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Sudden dizziness, weakness, or loss of coordination or balance

For most minor illnesses or injuries that don’t pose an immediate, serious threat to your health or life, urgent care is usually the right choice. You should go to Mercy Health Urgent Care for:

  • Allergies
  • Cold or flu symptoms
  • Earaches
  • Fevers
  • Foreign object in eye or nose
  • Headaches
  • Minor allergic reaction
  • Minor burns or bruises
  • Minor fracture
  • Rash or poison ivy
  • School and sports physicals
  • Scrapes or minor cuts, including ones that may require stitches
  • Skin conditions, rashes
  • Sore throat
  • Sprains
  • Urinary tract infection

Are you connected to a larger system so my doctor can see my/my child’s record of my visit to Mercy Health Urgent Care?

Mercy Health Urgent Care is part of Mercy Health, a Catholic health ministry with nearly 35,000 employees and more than 600 points of care in Ohio and Kentucky, including doctors and hospitals.

You and your child’s records from your urgent care are connected to your doctor’s office via our Epic Electronic Health Record, in most cases. If your doctor isn’t part of Mercy or doesn’t use Epic, we can provide a summary of your care to him or her.

What if I need additional care? Do you help arrange or coordinate that?

Yes, our goal is to connect you to the care you need seamlessly. Whether you need follow-up care with your own primary care physician or pediatrician, advanced care for a fracture or complex orthopedic injury, or you don’t have a regular doctor and need one, our associates are ready to help!
