Mercy Health – Cincinnati has named Brandi M. Fields as its chief nursing officer (CNO) effective immediately. Fields has been serving as CNO on an interim basis. She will continue to report to Jill Kennedy, group chief nurse executive for Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH).

Fields’ responsibilities include BSMH leadership, strategic and operational direction for nursing and clinical care delivery across practice settings throughout Cincinnati.

“I am pleased to welcome Brandi as Mercy Health – Cincinnati’s new chief nursing officer. She has proven to be an excellent addition to our leadership team,” said Mercy Health – Cincinnati President Dave Fikse.

Prior to her interim CNO duties, Fields served as vice president of nursing transformation and experience of care for BSMH. She joined BSMH in 2015 as vice president of patient care and chief nursing officer of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky.

Brandi earned her undergraduate degree from Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois, her master’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, and her doctorate degree in nursing practice from Bellarmine University in Louisville. Brandi received her nurse executive advanced board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
