Breast cancer affects thousands of individuals (mostly women) and their families each year. Get the facts. Breast cancer is sometimes found after symptoms appear, but many women with breast cancer have no symptoms. Join us for a relaxed and interactive discussion focused on the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer. The presentation and Q&A will be led by Mercy Health breast cancer surgeon Jacquelyn Palmer, MD at the West Chester — Liberty Chamber Alliance's Women4Women Speaker Series held at the Heritage Club.
Dr. Palmer will review:
• why regular breast cancer screening is so important
• how family history and genetics affect your risk of breast cancer
• simple things you can do to detect early or reduce your risk for breast cancer
Dr. Palmer a fellowship-trained, board-certified breast surgeon, is the only surgeon in Butler County to complete the Hidden Scar™ certification program and is the first Mercy Health surgeon in Greater Cincinnati to achieve this certification.
