Meet J Alvin
As an electrophysiologist, one of the most rewarding parts of my job is reviewing, explaining, and developing a plan with patients regarding their arrhythmias. Through trusting relationships and transparent medical care, I hope to alleviate the fear of the unknown. I am blessed to have found a home here in Cincinnati and am truly honored to have the opportunity to help care for, and be a part of, this community.

June 2023 Dr. Kpaeyeh is truly an incredible doctor. I had vague symptoms when I saw Dr. Kpaeyeh for the first time (dizziness, heart palpitations, and syncope) and had been to the ER several times for syncopal episodes. I wasn't being taken seriously by the doctors I'd seen and was going to give up on seeking answers if Dr. Kpaeyeh couldn't help me. I wore a 30 day monitor, which didn't show any arrhythmias, but instead of telling me he couldn't help me he ordered further testing and I was diagnosed with POTS. Four months later he did an EP study and I was diagnosed with atrial flutter, had an ablation that resolved it and got an ICM. I was very emotional and scared during/after the procedure (this was in 2020, so I couldn't have anybody with me for support). Dr. Kpaeyeh went out of his way to reassure me and explain my condition in depth. Long story short, because of Dr. Kpaeyeh validating my concerns/believing I was sick, I went on to be diagnosed with multiple other illnesses. I was able to find out what caused me to become ill 2 years after the fact, only after Dr. Kpaeyeh mentioned the possibility of a rare autoimmune disease and I took that information to my rheumatologist, eventually being diagnosed. I am extremely lucky to have Dr. Kpaeyeh on my care team, and am very grateful for him. He always takes the time to listen to me and come up with a plan, and spends extra time answering questions. He even asks how my parents and son are doing, and remembers my hobbies/asks about them. He is one in a million, and I would recommend him to anybody. |
