I joined Mercy Health in July of 2012 and have been serving the Kenwood and West Cincinnati areas for 6 years. I am dedicated to providing excellent patient care in the field of endocrinology with special interest in diabetes and thyroid cancer. I remain excited by the challenges and opportunities for caring for new patients, as well as the gratification of continuing care of my patients.

	August 2024 Dr Aktar, is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He has me for life.

	June 2024 I have pneumonia, and my primary care physician wants to start me on steroids. The doctor walked me through how to minimize the impact (steroids raise blood sugar) with diet and one more dose of one medication. He gave me guidelines for when to contact his office and what levels of elevated blood sugar would temporarily be acceptible,
