Senior Rehabilitation

If you are ready to leave the hospital but not able to resume independent living at home, senior rehabilitation can bridge the gap. 

At a Mercy Health skilled nursing facility, you receive compassionate, round-the-clock care while senior rehabilitation therapists help you regain the abilities you need to live independently at home. In coordination with you and your doctor, your care team will identify rehabilitation therapies that will benefit you:

• Physical therapy helps build strength, flexibility, mobility and endurance.
• Occupational therapy focuses on the activities of daily life.
• Speech therapy helps you improve your ability to communicate and/or swallow. 

Senior rehabilitation therapies also are available after you return home. Outpatient therapies offer flexible scheduling for your convenience and are provided in calm, peaceful settings for your comfort.
