St. Rita’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Services offers DiMaggio and McKenzie strategies to better treat back and cervical pain. During your evaluation, the type of back problem will be identified and then taught how to manage your symptoms by applying a Pain Relieving Exercise Program (P.R.E.P.). This program of exercises will provide you with immediate symptom relief.

The therapist will determine the most effective body positions and exercises during each visit, and modify your program to assure progress.  Next, you are instructed to maintain appropriate spine positions and postures when needing to be up and active.  The ultimate goal is to have you resume a normal pain-free lifestyle.
