The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health Continues its Speaker Series at the Mayerson JCC on Wednesday, May 10 with Discussion on Surgical and Nonsurgical Weight Solutions

Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that The Jewish Hospital - Mercy Health’s free speaker series continues at the Mayerson JCC, located at 8485 Ridge Road, Cincinnati 45236, on Wednesday, May 10 with “Define yourself differently: What you need to know about surgical and nonsurgical weight solutions.”

Obesity, which affects more than one third of the U.S. adult population, increases the risk of diseases and serious health problems such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer. When it comes to weight management, people need a treatment plan that fits their individual needs and health situation — what works for some, may not work for others.

Join The Jewish Hospital — Mercy Health and Mayerson JCC as we talk about the physical and emotional complexities of obesity and weight management. In this interactive discussion, Mercy Health bariatric surgeon Yasir Khan, DO will review the latest research on obesity and discuss the surgical and nonsurgical options for weight loss.

The program begins at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers and refreshments, followed by the discussion and Q and A, which runs from 6-7 p.m.
