Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital Hosts Free Hernia Care Information Night on Thursday, July 20

Mercy Health – Cincinnati, which provides advanced, compassionate, quality care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that Fairfield Hospital will host a free hernia care information night from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017. The event will take place at the Fairfield HealthPlex, which is located on the hospital campus at 3050 Mack Road, Fairfield, OH 45014.

A hernia is a condition in which an organ pushes through the muscle or tissues that are meant to hold it in place. Muscle strain or weakness can lead to a hernia and hernias occur most commonly in the abdomen or the groin. Symptoms include swelling and pain in the affected area.

If you or someone you care about has a hernia, there’s a way to stop the pain and physical symptoms permanently with minimally-invasive hernia repair. At this special event, Douglas Berg, MD, general surgeon and regional leader in robotic surgery will review the latest treatments that can help you get back to doing the things you love faster. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be available during check-in from 5:30-6 p.m. Dr. Berg’s presentation and the Q&A session takes place from 6-7:30 p.m.
