Mercy Health — Cincinnati has named Shane Knisley as the president of Clermont Hospital. Knisley assumes the role on October 28 from Justin Krueger, who Mercy Health named as Fairfield Hospital’s president earlier this year. Knisley reports to Mercy Health — Cincinnati President Dave Fikse.

Knisley is responsible for the overall operational success of Clermont Hospital, including achieving financial, productivity, human potential and quality goals and maximizing opportunities for growth. Previously, Knisley served as the Chief Operating Officer of Fairfield Hospital, a role he assumed in 2018.

“During his time with Mercy Health, Shane has demonstrated his ability as a hospital administrator and contributed to the success of Fairfield Hospital by forging excellent relationships with patients, associates and the community,” said Fikse. “It’s always a pleasure to be able to promote from within the organization and I’m pleased Shane has accepted this leadership opportunity.”

Before joining Mercy Health, Knisley served as COO for Sparks Health System in Fort Smith, Arkansas and as Assistant CEO for Lake Granbury Medical Center in Granbury, Texas. Previously, he was vice president of administration for Navy Medicine Operational Training Center and a Defense Fellow/Military Legislative Assistant in the United States Senate.

Knisley earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland University College in College Park and his Master of Health Administration from Army — Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Knisley is also a graduate of the Marine Corps College of Command and Staff in Quantico, VA.

Knisley and his wife live in West Chester.
