National Drug Take-Back Day

(Lima, April 25, 2016) St. Ritas Health Partners will participate in National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 30, 2016. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., community members are invited to turn in unused or expired medicine for safe disposal.

Drop-off locations include:
    St. Rita's Medical Center
  • 718 W. Market Street (enter on Baxter St., exit on Market St.)
    Allen County Children Services Building
  • 123 W. Spring Street
    Lima Memorial Hospital Medical Park
  • 525 N. Eastown Road
    Kmart
  • 2250 Harding Highway

Prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted. Medication should be kept in its original container or prescription bottle. The patient name should be blackened out. There is no charge to participate in the event.

With this event, the Drug Enforcement Administration aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
