Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center is pleased to welcome Lance Workman, D.O., to its General Surgery team. Dr. Workman brings a strong background in minimally invasive and general surgical care, expanding access to high-quality surgical services for patients in Lima and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Workman completed his general surgery residency at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating cum laude from Marshall University.

Dr. Workman is trained in advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques, holding certifications in Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery (FES) and Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS). He is also a resident member of the American College of Surgeons and has a strong interest in improving patient outcomes through both surgical excellence and community outreach. 

He joins an outstanding team of experienced surgeons at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s General Surgery, including:
