HMR Weight Loss Program offered by Mercy Named a No. 1 “Best Fast Weight-Loss Diet” by U.S. News and World Report

Toledo, OH – U.S. News & World Reports has ranked HMR (Health Management Resources®) a No.1 Best Fast Weight-Loss Diet, a brand-new category this year, as well as No. 2 Best Weight-Loss Diet for the second year in a row.

Offered exclusively in our region by Mercy Weight Management Center for the past 12 years, HMR combines medically supervised nutritional counseling with portion and calorie controlled entrees, shakes and snacks. Members attend weekly classes taught by experienced Mercy health coaches, learning proven techniques for losing weight and lifelong success.  They also have the support of other dieters in the program.

“We are pleased that HMR’s weight-loss program which we offer at Mercy Weight Management Center has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the most effective diets for weight loss,” said program director Amy Watkins.

“The program is effective at helping our patients achieve weight loss, which can result in improvement in risk factors for the development of conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure,” she added. “The weight loss may also lead to a decrease in the need for medications for some individuals who have developed these conditions”.

HMR’s national advertising campaign currently features two members from Mercy Weight Management Center.  Combined, they have lost over 400 pounds through diet and exercise alone.
