Helping you achieve better managed diabetes

A Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) is a health care provider such as a nurse or dietician who can help you learn about your treatment program. They are professionals whose expertise is diabetes self management.
These professionals counsel patients on how to incorporate healthy eating and physical activity into their life. They also help patients understand how their medications work, teach them how to monitor their blood glucose to avoid the risk of complications, and give them the abiltiy to problem solve and adjust emotionally to diabetes.
