Mercy Health - Behavioral Health Institute, Warren has a group of dedicated professionals to help you quit smoking. The center’s five session, evidence-based treatment program incorporates a holistic approach toward recovery from nicotine dependency. The program is available to those 18 years of age and older.
How the program works:
We offer three different programs to meet your individual needs.
After an initial assessment, you will receive a program recommendation from the certified tobacco treatment specialist appropriate to your individual needs.
Five weekly group or individual counseling sessions with the goal of complete abstinence by the third week of care. During the program, six weeks of nicotine replacement and/or Zyban or Chantix are provided.
Mental Health Expanded Program:
Ten weekly group or individual counseling sessions for individuals with co-occurring mental illness who are nicotine dependent. As with the Community Program, medication assistance is offered with the goal of abstinence by the last month of treatment.
Tobacco Education Program:
Five weekly education sessions for individuals not yet committed to cessation, but who wish to learn about the health effects of tobacco, techniques for quitting and medication assisted options available should they decide to stop.
