The Auxiliary of Mercy Health – West Hospital Presents a Free Concert Featuring the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Glee Club on April 23
Following last year’s standing room only concert, Mercy Health - Cincinnati, which provides advanced, quality, compassionate care in your neighborhood through its care network, announces that the popular Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Glee Club will once again perform a free concert at Mercy Health – West Hospital.
The concert, hosted by the Auxiliary of West Hospital, will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, in the auditorium of the hospital, which is located at 3300 Mercy Health Blvd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
The concert is free but donations are welcome and benefit Mercy Health – West Hospital. The Auxiliary will provide refreshments. Please RSVP to J. Reinhold at email@example.com by Tuesday, April 18 to ensure an accurate head count for refreshments.
Founded in 1985, the group now numbers more than 60 members and sings year-round at various concerts, events, pubs, nursing homes and assorted wakes and weddings. They average 50 performances per year, including annual St. Patrick’s Day Parades, and sing a wide array of Irish songs and ballads.
The glee club is part of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, a private organization dedicated to the principles of brotherhood, charity and community service. Since the founding of the organization in 1771, the society has maintained a tradition of openness to Irish as well as non-Irish men of goodwill, without regard to ethnic or religious origin. The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Foundation in Cincinnati is the charitable arm of the group and it fosters strong Irish heritage by supporting the hungry and Irish arts.
The Auxiliary of Mercy Health – West Hospital raises funds for charitable care and capital purchases that help the hospital provide top quality care to the patients it serves. The Auxiliary also awards annual scholarships to talented area students embarking on healthcare careers.
