Meet Jill

I earned my Bachelor's at IU in Bloomington and developed a love for the kidneys during medical school in Des Moines. I practice nephrology and treat disorders of the kidney including acute and chronic diseases, electrolyte abnormalities, kidney stones, blood or protein in the urine, and high blood pressure. It is an honor to be serving the Lima community, and my husband and I enjoy the bike path and volleyball sand courts here.

	October 2023 My doctor was very positive with me and I appreciate that! She was happy with my Creatinine number of 1.1. My urine did not have too much protein in it. I'm not having any problems urinating. I was able to express the relief that Anthem and Mercy Health reached an agreement. Thank goodness!

	September 2023 Dr Hemmelgarn is an amazing Dr. She listens carefully to my concerns. She always considers my questions and ideas. She seems to care about me outside of my kidneys. She is the absolute best Dr and I feel so very fortunate to have her as my nephrologist.
