St. Rita’s Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center Radiology Services

Putnam County residents have available to them complete imaging services close to home at St. Rita’s Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center. Our facility is accredited by the ACR (American College of Radiology) in digital mammography, CT scanning, Ultrasound and MRI scanning. ACR accreditation is recognized as the gold standard in medical imaging.

Our "Digital" X-ray
machine provides decreased radiation dose by 50-60%, enhanced image analysis, and faster image processing.

Digital mammography
provides optimal breast image quality and greater exam efficiency for patient comfort, resulting in early detection of breast cancer.

Computer Axial Tomography (CT or CAT scan) uses a special camera to provide cross-sectional images, which are capable of showing internal body parts in much greater detail than standard x-rays.

Ultrasound is a painless procedure that provides images using high frequency soundwaves. There is no injection or radiation exposure associated with ultrasound procedures.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
uses radio waves, a powerful magnet and an advanced computer system to provide detailed pictures of organs and tissues. Our MRI has a shorter tunnel for patients to pass through – only 4 foot compared to other 6 foot tunnels. The openings at either end are also much wider, creating a more open and comfortable feeling. Our upgraded Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has added “INHANCE” feature which allows us to perform MRA’s without contrast.

These imaging services provide greater access to care, as patients don’t have to travel to Lima for these outpatient exams. The Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center also provides emergency care, cardiac rehab and a number of specialty clinics. We are committed to providing the safest and best quality of care possible.
