If you need help managing pre-diabetes, Mercy Health - Cincinnati can help. Register today for pre-diabetes education classes offered at convenient Mercy Health locations throughout the community.

Pre-diabetes is a condition that forms before diabetes. It means that a person’s blood sugar levels are higher than normal but aren’t high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Usually a fasting blood sugar level of 100-125 mg/dl indicates pre-diabetes.

The good news is that pre-diabetes is a warning sign allowing you to take action to prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes educators who are also registered dietitians teach Mercy Health’s two-hour pre-diabetes education classes. Each class includes information on the following:

  • Making healthy food choices
  • Exercise and blood sugar control
  • Monitoring blood sugar levels

Cost is $20 per class, payable in advance with check or credit card. Call 513-95-MERCY (513-956-3729) to register. Upcoming dates, times and locations follow below:
