Families to Present CuddleCot and Moses Basket to St. Rita’s

(Lima, September 27, 2016) St. Rita’s Health Partners will be receiving a CuddleCot and Moses Basket on Thursday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m. A CuddleCot is a cooling device used to help preserve a stillborn infant so that families are able to bond. The presentation will take place in the Medical Center located at 730 W. Market St., Lima, OH 45801.

“We are fortunate to receive this cot and basket, and are very grateful for what these two families have done to provide these for our hospital. The bond between a parent and their infant is something so special, and we want to ensure that every family gets to experience this,” said Lisa Shafer, Clinical Manager Labor and Delivery/Antepartum Education at St. Rita's.

The two families donating the CuddleCot and Moses Basket to St. Rita's raised funds through fundraising after tragic losses of their infants. They want to be able to give families going through this difficult time the ability to be able to bond with their infant. We are very grateful for this donation, and the opportunity this will give to help families deal with a tragic loss.
