Mercy Health — Springfield is expanding access to care with the opening of its first location in New Carlisle. The new practice, Mercy Health New Carlisle Primary Care, will begin welcoming patients at 538 N. Main St. on June 1.

This expansion represents an important step in Mercy Health’s commitment to delivering accessible, high-quality care to growing communities across the region. As the first site in New Carlisle for the Springfield market, the new office will improve access to both routine and same-day care close to home.

“Strong primary care services are essential to building healthier communities,” said Nichole Clark, director of primary care operations at Mercy Health - Springfield. “Expanding our presence in New Carlisle allows us to bring high-quality preventive, routine and immediate care closer to home, so individuals and families can access what they need without the burden of traveling long distances.”

The new clinic will operate as a hybrid care model, initially offering convenient walk-in services similar to the market’s existing walk-in clinics. As the practice grows, plans include adding a full-time primary care provider to offer comprehensive primary care alongside walk-in services, giving patients flexibility and continuity in one location.

Staffed by Mercy Health nurse practitioner Derrick Marple and a dedicated support team, the new clinic features four exam rooms designed to support efficient, patient-centered care. Services will include treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries, preventive care and routine health needs.

The practice will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with plans to expand hours in the future to meet community demand. Patients can call 937-523-8550 or visit mercy.com to learn more or schedule an appointment.

Local dignitaries and community leaders will join Mercy Health leaders and associates to celebrate the new practice at a special ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for June 11.
