Harness Health Pharmacy – Springfield, located inside Mercy Health – Springfield Regional Medical Center – is expanding its hours of operation to provide more convenient, reliable access to prescription services.
Beginning Monday, June 23, the retail pharmacy will offer extended weekday hours and introduce new weekend availability:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:30–1:00 p.m.)
- Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
"We know that pharmacy access is a critical part of keeping our community healthy," said Ginger Schworm Berrie, Director of Retail Pharmacy. "This isn’t just about longer hours. It’s about being there for our neighbors when they need us most."
The updated schedule ensures patients, caregivers, and families have more flexibility to pick up prescriptions and consult with trusted pharmacy staff, including evenings and weekends. Whether it’s managing chronic conditions or handling last-minute medication needs, Harness Health’s expanded access reflects its ongoing commitment to compassionate, accessible care.
As part of our continued commitment to patient-centered care, Harness Health Pharmacy – Springfield is also offering Meds to Beds for Mercy Health – Springfield Regional Medical Center patients. This service allows certified pharmacy technicians to deliver prescriptions directly to patients at their bedside before they leave the hospital, allowing patients to go straight home without making an extra stop at the pharmacy. Studies have shown Meds to Beds programs help improve medication adherence, reduce potential errors, and support a smoother transition from hospital to home. It’s one more way Mercy Health and Harness Health are ensuring care doesn't stop at discharge.
