Mercy Willard Hospital and Willard City Schools partner to bring healthcare to students, teachers and school employees

Willard, OH - With the goal of improving the health of the greater Willard area, through enhanced access to quality care, Mercy Willard and Willard City Schools are pleased to announce plans to open the first Primary Care Office in collaboration with the school district.
 
Mercy Health – Willard Primary Care located within the Willard City Schools will open its doors to patients on Jan. 27, 2016 at the new school location – One Flashes Avenue.  The primary care office will be staffed by a physician and will offer students and employees of Willard City Schools convenient access to healthcare.

Initially, the primary care office will be open 4 hours per week.  Mercy Health – Willard Primary Care at the Willard City Schools will accept most insurance providers.  No student will be seen by a Mercy provider without permission from his or her parent.  Parents will need to accompany their children to appointments.
 
The Willard City Schools is made up of 1,604 students and 187 staff members.  The Willard City Schools will not use general fund money for the operation of the Primary Care Office.

By building this partnership, Willard City Schools and Mercy Willard are working to provide a convenience to parents and reduce student absenteeism by helping children get well and back into school.
