Healthcare for women

Every woman can benefit from our services — and we’re happy to be there for her every need. We offer 3D mammography, breast ultrasounds, pelvic ultrasounds, stereotactic breast biopsy and wire localization and more.

We’re the first in the area to achieve Breast Center Accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, meaning we offer comprehensive care and advanced services. We provide multidisciplinary team approaches to coordinate the best treatment options and ongoing clinical trials.

3D breast mammography
We’re the first system in our region to offer 3D mammography, the newest and most advanced technology in breast imaging. This state-of-the-art technology improves breast cancer detection and reduces false positives.

Family birthing centers
We know that expecting a child is a very special time in your life. Our hospitals are committed to providing you with everything you need to prepare for the big event.

Breastfeeding/lactation services
We’ll work with you through the newness of feeding your baby — making sure all your questions are answered. You’ll receive one-on-one consultation and assistance from trained obstetric nurses and a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) if needed.

Maternal-Fetal medicine

Specialized care for expectant mothers and their babies. We work hand-in-hand with your obstetrician to develop a plan of care tailored to your personal needs and medical history.

Heart & Vascular services

Only 13% of women consider heart disease their greatest health risk, yet it kills more women every year than the next seven causes of death combined — including cancer. Women’s hearts are different than men's, particularly the biology of the arteries that provide blood flow to the heart. These differences can make diagnosing heart disease and heart attacks difficult in women. So here at Mercy, we provide specialized expertise in treating women's hearts. Our ER teams are trained to recognize and diagnose heart attack symptoms specifically in women.

We also have an experienced team of surgeons, physicians and nurses who use the most advanced technologies and procedural techniques, like minimally invasive robotic surgery, to provide local access to the finest cardiac care.

Cancer Center
Our dedicated cancer doctors help diagnose, treat and educate you on the unique characteristics involved in women's cancer treatment.

Robotic services

If you’ve been diagnosed with a condition affecting your uterus or other reproductive organs, your doctor may recommend surgery. With traditional surgeries we have to open the abdomen or take a laparoscopic approach. We can now perform robotic surgery to treat your gynecologic condition.

Women's health physical therapy programs

Our therapists understand the many physical and emotional issues women face as their bodies change throughout life. While the stages and changes of the female body are natural, there may be times a woman needs extra help to cope with some of these changes through physical therapy.

Women's care plus

Our skin care services help you look and feel your best.

Weight management
Nothing is more important than your health. And choosing to lose weight is often the single most important thing you can do to improve your health and quality of life.

Exercise & wellness
According to the latest American Heart Association/American College of Sports Medicine guidelines on physical activity, all healthy adults ages 18¬–65 should get at least 30 minutes of moderate activity five days a week.
