We value your talent, skill and compassion

At Mercy Health, we work hard to provide an outstanding work environment for our employees. We want each person to be appropriately compensated for his or her dedicated work, to have affordable health insurance, to have the opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills, to have access to programs for enhancing their health and to feel that the work they do is meaningful and highly valued.

Our strong commitment to being an outstanding employer is grounded in Catholic social teaching, which emphasizes the dignity of every person; solidarity, common ground and participation; and the dignity of work and workers’ rights. Guided by our faith, as well as by our Mission and Values, we strive to ensure that our workplaces are fair and just, that associates can provide input into how to make their work environments better and that all employees are treated with respect.

Mercy Health is the largest provider of healthcare in the state of Ohio, and the fourth-largest employer in the state. Without our more than 34,000 employees, there would be no Mercy Health. As our team goes about their daily work, whether caring for patients or handling other responsibilities, they demonstrate who we are as an organization. They bring to life Mercy Health’s Mission and the caring, healing tradition of the women religious who founded our healthcare ministry.

Just wage, compensation and benefits packages vary by job type, full-time or part-time status and Mercy Health facility. Benefit components include:
Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance
Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Savings Accounts
Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance
Life Insurance
Retirement Savings Plan
Tuition Reimbursement
Paid Time Off
Paid Holidays

Some associates may also receive additional benefits such as vision insurance, discounts for holistic therapies, discounted memberships at fitness facilities and use of an Employee Assistance Program.

One of our guiding principles is that none of our employees should be paid less than our targeted indexed minimum wage, which is consistently well above the federal minimum wage. Mercy Health's targeted indexed wage is set above the federal poverty level for a family of four and is adjusted for the cost of living in the areas where our facilities are located.
